What do you mean by this? Do you mean having all the secondaries unlocked on one character?

If that is what you mean, then it isn't exactly needed, but you will have a huge variety of builds to chose from, assuming you have enough money to unlock skills whenever you want...

I've got a warrior with all unlocked secondaries. I'm using him to go after skill hunter track and unlock all the elites. I only actually use a few secondaries in actual play though.

Yes...it is a good thing. It gives you ultimate flexibility with that character. It also gives you the opportunity to pursue the skill hunter title.

Yeah, it's a good thing. Skill hunter title aside, you can be very flexible in setting up your character for different challenges.

I'm loving that new dropdown. Its hella more convenient than travelling over the map just to switch back and forth. :P

I agree...the drop down rulez...I hated going back and forth to the desert everytime I wanted to try a different build. AWESOME job Anet.

If you have a warrior from Prophecies (just as an example ofc...) can you unlock Assassin and Ritualist for it?

Assuming you have Factions, then yes. Just have to do Nahpui Quarter mission to get to Senji's corner where the changer is.
